If you gave us the choice of where we would go and what we would do, apart from maybe upgrading the beach to Vamizi, this really is it! Arguably the best time for any southern safari itinerary is in the heart of the dry season, between July and October...but this trip really can be done year round as the game, guiding and camps are just that good. My preferred time would be to head out in the first week of November for total seclusion and some of the best viewing in the year.

DAY
1

Fly to Dar es Salaam

Fly to Dar es Salaam international airport and met on arrival.

DAY
2-3

Ras Kutani, Tanzania Mainland

Met and transferred to the domestic terminal in time for the morning flight to Ras Kutani. Met on arrival and transferred to the lodge to stay for 2 nights on a full board basis in a luxury Suite. This rustic luxury is the epitome of relaxation and comfort. This is, absolutely, the best way to start any holiday...sipping cocktails and looking out onto the Indian Ocean!

DAY
4-6

Mwagusi Camp, Ruaha National Park

Transferred in the morning back to the airstrip for the flight via Dar and the Selous to Ruaha. One of the most raw parks in Africa, Ruaha is one of the best parks for getting up close and personal to elephant...and where better than under the guidance of Chris Fox in Mwagusi Camp. Everything about the place points to a long a distinguished history of being the best!

DAY
7-9

Beho Beho, Selous Game Reserve

Fly in the morning out of Ruaha to the Selous. The combination of the two parks is a superb foil and offers a sharp contrast between the open, scorched earth of Ruaha and the lush riverine vegetation of the Selous. Beho Beho is definitely our favourite lodge in the park as, along with its secluded position, the levels of guiding, food and overall luxury are without match.

DAY
10-14

Kilindi, Zanzibar

Met and transferred to the airstrip in time for the morning flight via Dar to Zanzibar. Met on arrival and transferred across the island to Kilindi to stay for 5 nights on an all inclusive basis. This collection of Arabian styled pavilions sits on a quiet and private section of Zanzibar's coastline, offering all of the first class luxury that you could ask for...just sit back and relax!

DAY
15

Fly home

Fly from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam and connect onto international flights home.

Please note that the above is on a full board basis unless otherwise shown and does NOT include international flights.
