A really well paced itinerary, this is a simple but really effective itinerary that gives a couple of days on the beach, on to safari and then to spend the remaining time on the beach on Zanzibar. There is not a whole load to be said about this itinerary, except that it really is a great way to spend a couple of weeks! Just about the right amount of time on safari, and enough time on the beach at the end to nearly forget your own name!

DAY
1

Fly to Dar es Salaam

Fly to Dar es Salaam international airport and met on arrival.

DAY
2-3

Ras Kutani, South of Dar es Salaam

Met and transferred to the domestic terminal in time for the morning flight to Ras Kutani. Met on arrival and transferred to the lodge to stay for 2 nights on a full board basis. This rustic luxury is the epitome of relaxation and comfort. This is, absolutely, the best way to start any holiday...sipping cocktails and looking out onto the Indian Ocean!

DAY
4-6

Selous Impala Camp, Selous Game Reserve

Fly in the morning via Dar to the Selous Game Reserve. Met on arrival and transferred to Selous Impala Camp where you will stay for the next 3 nights on a full board basis. Located along the river from its sister, Lake Manze, Selous Impala is slightly better positioned for views and general relaxation. Along with this, the food takes a step up...a really good choice.

DAY
7-13

Matemwe Main, Zanzibar

Met and transferred to the airstrip in time for the morning flight via Dar to Zanzibar. Met on arrival and transferred across the island to Matemwe Main to stay for 7 nights on a full board basis. Raising the standards for the beach accommodation in Zanzibar, Matemwe has managed to capture and relaxed and inviting air, making it perfect for a bit of secluded relaxation.

DAY
14

Fly home

Transferred back to Zanzibar Airport to fly to Dar es Salaam and connect onto international flights home.

Please note that the above is on a full board basis unless otherwise shown and does NOT include international flights.
